Sazerac Bar
I'm from the small college town of Ruston in North Louisiana. I moved to New Orleans in 2010 after accepting the job of barback at the Sazerac Bar in the newly reopened Roosevelt Hotel. I had worked in restaurants and hotels before but this was my first time behind a bar, granted I was no stranger to one. I held the barback position for a little over a year before stepping into the bartender position. I was fortunate enough to be shown the ins and outs of bartending by one of my coworkers, a mentor in a way. I would go on to work various outlets in the hotel including the rooftop pool bar, the Fountain Lounge restaurant, and of course the Sazerac Bar. Now I work only in the Sazerac Bar, gettin it how I live.
